Beginning March 2025, CDCP members must renew their coverage. Before applying, they need to file their 2024 taxes and receive their Notice of Assessment. Renewals can be done at canada.ca/dental, through MSCA, or by phone.
- Renewal Deadline: Members must renew their coverage before June 1, 2025, to avoid a gap in coverage.
- Renewal Methods: Renewals can be completed online, by phone, or at a Service Canada Centre.
It’s crucial to note that the fees covered by the federal government may not always cover the full cost of treatment at a dental office. Patients will be responsible for any remaining balance. Additionally, the CDCP is not intended to replace existing dental coverage. Canadians should maintain their current dental insurance, as they might not qualify for the CDCP if they drop their existing coverage.
